Why run The Pre-Marriage Courses?
The Pre-Marriage Course is very easy to run and the talks are available online for free. If you enjoy hosting people and have a passion for strengthening family life, you could run a course!
An individual can host a course using The Pre-Marriage Course materials, though we recommend having a married couple on hand to offer support.

Use The Pre-Marriage Course leaders’ resources for support to run your course.
Think of ways to make your course feel like a fun 'date night' for your couples.
Who should I invite?
The Pre-Marriage Course is for any engaged couple planning to give their marriage the best possible start. The course is also for couples who would like to explore the idea of getting married.
The course is based on Christian principles but designed for all couples with or without a church background. You do not need to be getting married in a church to come on the course.
Think about inviting:
- Friends, family, neighbours and colleagues
- Community groups such as gym classes
- If your church is running Alpha, consider inviting current and past guests

The most effective way to encourage guests to come on your course is to personally invite them.

Promotional materials such as postcard invitations and banners can help and are easy to use - they can help generate interest and spread the word about your course to those outside your personal network.

- Add your course details to our website here. Choose to promote your Alpha to thousands of people via our website and social media channels, resulting in increased guest attendance.
- Promote your course at church with a fun video or by sharing stories from previous guests.
- Give out invites and encourage everyone to invite one couple
- Place posters and postcards in strategic locations such as coffee shops, gyms and libraries
- Advertise the event on your church website and social media.
- Make sure the date, time, venue and contact information are clear on your communication.
- Give the course a final push the week before it starts, as many couples decide to join last minute.
